how can i display the following date 1/2/2006 as JANUARY 2, 2006
??
is there formatting for capital letters in customized formats? MMMM gives me a January the same as mmmm.

thanks for your help!

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.

If you can use another cell, you could use
=UPPER(TEXT(A1,"mmmm d, yyyy"))
