Hi All,

I am currently trying to produce an effective Time Management spreadsheet which I can use for both weekly but then can also show monthly.

The way I have it setup is as follows:
Sheet 1 - my weekly planner


From this i just have a 5 day week where i can allocate my time.

Sheet 2 - my month overview


On this spreadsheet it will show what I have done over the month.

What I Require:
On Sheet I would like it to automatically update depending on the dates.

So in B12 for example, i want it to look at the date in A12 (12/04/11) and see if on Sheet 1 in Row 3 if the date is showing.
If it is I was Sheet 2 to input the relevant data from the time slots from Sheet 1 into it.

I hope this makes sence, i urgently need this completely by today!

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Don't have time to create this for you, but try this exercise:

1. On Sheet1, place following values in following cells:

You should be able to work out how to modify the formula to achieve what you want from there

Hi SuperFerret,

I dont really understand how you and JackDanIce mean as you both seem to be showing similar things.
Sheet1 has a different layout to Sheet2, so I need there to be a lookup of some kind I think for Sheet2 to generate the right information from Sheet1.

Is there a reason both sheets need to be a different way round?

Looking at both your images they look almost identical except with one giving the times across the other down... if they were both the same it would be easier (as you could use the example provided by Jack)

I would think it would just be a case of amending the ranges to suit your actual data.

I'll see if I can play (I'm not expert but I can give something a go)

Hi SuperFerret,

Sadly I would prefer it to be this way round, due to my weekly planner I will be able to see all ove the information I type into it as Project 1/2 are only examples of what data/info ill type.

So Sheet1 and Sheet2 are better presented that way round for how the Directors wish for it to be used.

OK that would kind of work.

But, on my 5 day week sheet; If i change the dates to be the next week the month sheet wont work.

How can I add in the code to say - lookup the dates so it pulls through the right info for that specific week?

Hmm... I would think that would be Macro territory, as you wouldn't want the first weeks information to vanish/error when you start a new week.

I'm not very good at writing macros yet... (more of a record and pick apart kinda gal) so perhaps someone smarter than I can assist :-?
