user can't view data in spreadsheet

I have a user that can't view data in his spreadsheets. When I open his files the data is displayed.

The data is visible for him in the formula bar. It' not hidden data because I can view it just by opening it.

Any help?

Can your coworker see any formatting like boarders or anything?

no, the only thing he can see is colored cells. No other data or formatting will display in the ss.
