UserForm ListBox name can not be changed, why?

Listbox still "listens" to its original default name even after renaming, why? After renaming I can not only manipulate it with the new name, but with the original too. I would expect that only new name works.

Dim list As ListBox

Set list = Worksheets("Sheet1").ListBoxes("Default name 12")

list.Name = "New" 'even after this, it still listens to original name, maybe some kind of code name?

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
try this thread. it uses an activeX listbox which has better flexibility
