If you highlight a number of column names and then go into tools and forms, excel will automatically produce a form.

Is there any way of saving that form within the workbook.

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.

It's always available with the workbook.

You could assign this code to a button to make it easier for the user:

Code:
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
    ActiveSheet.ShowDataForm
End Sub

Or you could put it in your Workbook_Open event procedure.

Hi,

if you put:

Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
ActiveSheet.ShowDataForm
End Sub

in the workbook_open(), make sure a cell in the feild headings is selected, or the form won't come up right, or not at all.

oh, and I don't think you can edit the form. If someone knows a way to do this, I would REALLY like to know, I spent the last few days making an Excel database with record forms, all userforms, and it was a PAIN!

If I could have used the form feature, but customized, it would have been way faster.

HTH,
Corticus
