UserInterfaceOnly Spin button not working

I have set my workbook to open with protect password and UserInterfaceOnly, all my command buttons work but for some reason the spin button doesn't. I have set the spin button properties locked to false, and have done, fomat protection unlock, on all the cells I want the user to be able to change. I don't know what else to do!
Any help would be appreciated.

If the sb is linked to a cell, is that unlocked too ?

No it wasn't, thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I have several worksheets with spin buttons on, whenever I click onto another worksheet, the scroll bar for a few seconds moves and reveals the index number underneath. I changed the text colour so it' the same as the background but it's very annoying. Do you know why it's happening?

To completely hide the contents of a cell you can format it using 3 ";"
;;;

as for the problem itself: is there event code in those worksheets?
