I want to make a for-loop repeat itself a given number of times, specified by inputting a value to a cell. Here is the code I'm currently using:

Dim i as Integer
Dim j as Integer
j = Range("Q1").Value
For i = 1 to j
(code)
Next i

This doesn't work, but hopefully you can see what I'm trying to do?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Hello and welcome to MrExcel.

In what way doesn't it work? This works for me:

Code:
Sub test()
Dim i As Integer
Dim j As Integer
j = Range("Q1").Value
For i = 1 To j
    MsgBox i
Next i
End Sub
