Hello,

I'm trying to find out if there's a way to use characters in the name for worksheet tabs.

When I try using them (e.g., "/" character), I get an error message. I've googled and been to several sites, but have not been able to find an answer.

Any help would be appreciated.

thank you

Hi, Seven Michael
Welcome to the Board !!!!!

as far as I know this is impossible
you have to accept some restrictions for the good functioning
you wouldn't like glasses to be non-transparant or a soccerfield to be a circle

kind regards,
Erik

Good afternoon Seven Michael

Rules for naming sheets :

You can't use the characters :
: \ / ? * [ ]

Keep it equal to or fewer than 31 characters.

There are also some "reserved" names that Excel won't allow you to use (try naming a worksheet "History"...)

Okay,

Sorry to hear I can't do that; sure would be nice if I could.

But, thanks for the help, and the prompt reply !
