Using checkbox states in a formula

Hi,

could anyone tell me whether the value of a checkbox can be used in a formula (in a cell, not in VBA)?

I originally had a formula that was:

=IF(AND(A1=1,B1<C1),"LOW","OK")

....but now I have to use a checkbox to evaluate instead of the cell value.

=IF(AND(Checkbox1=TRUE,B1<C1),"LOW","OK") obviously doesn't work

Is this possible, or would I have to do this using VBA - or is there an alternative approach? I have over 300 rows that have to be evaluated this way, so I'd prefer a formula based approach, if it can be done.

As always, thanks for the assistance - it is most appreciated!

Regards,

Mark

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Hi,

Try using check box from the Forms menu. You can link these to a cell (right click checkbox -> Control -> Cell Link).

This will output TRUE or FALSE.
