Friends,
I am trying to use PivotTable for a function that can be done in HLookup, but I am hoping can be done much faster in Pivot Table.

I have five (5) related columns that all have the values of Positive, Neutral, Mixed, Negative, and NA. I am wanting these values to be the Row Headings in MS Excel's Pivot Table. The trouble is that you can only do this for the FIRST column, and then the pivot table tries to define Columns 4-5 dependent upon the values in the first column. Can anyone help devise a mechanism for producing a Pivot Table that overcomes this limitation?

In essence, I'd like a a row for Positive, Neutral, Mixed, Negative, and NA reported back for each columns 1-5, with the column results reporting the sum of Positive, Neutral, Mixed, Negative, and NA.

Thanks for your help here.

Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
