I have a large database of approx. 6000 rows. When I use autoFilter and use a column to filter by is takes a very long time. Is there a reason for this?
I have other workbooks that that have 6000+ rows and this does not happen when I filter for those worksheets.
Is there any way I can make this go faster?
Thank you

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Why not use MS Query & input a parameter in a validation cell from your data..?

I am unfamiliar with out to work with a Query.
I have a lot of people that use this database that are unfamiliar with Excel. It is just easy for them to filter on something they know copy the price and paste it from there.
Is a Query just as simple? and how does it work?
