Using Hyperlinks to use other apps?

I have googled and searched and cannot seem to find anything for my issue.

I was wondering if there is any documentation on any hyperlink prefixes that can be used. For example MAILTO: opens Outlook TEL: opens Jabber to place a phone call CALLTO: opens Microsoft Teams to make a call. I'm assuming that these links just open what is set as the default applications for these functions on my system.

What I'm trying to do is is create a hyperlink with a person's username that will open a Chat in Microsoft Teams with that person, but cannot seem to figure out how to do it.

I've already used "
Join conversation" as the link, but it navigates to the website and does not launch the application.
I also tried copying the link to the "Launch it now" link on the page and using that, but still does not launch the app.

When Microsoft Edge gives me the option to Open the App or cancel, I have checked to box to always allow it to open the app, and it still will not launch the app.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Can Excel fill bagel flavors?
You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
Chrome is my default browser, but I used the hyperlink function in Excel and it opened the app for teams. What version of Excel are you using? I'm using 365

Example of hyperlink =Hyperlink("Celebrating Sir W. Arthur Lewis","Google")
