I'm looking to use a formula based on a set of rules.

For example, IF B2 = "F" AND the value in D2 lies between 121 and 141 then it will report "D"

I have multiple grade boundaries based on whether students have taken a F - Foundation paper or H - Higher paper exam?

Any help as ever greatly appreciated.

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
=IF(AND(B2="F", D2>=121, D2<=141), "D", "")

Returns D if B2 = F and D2 between 121 and 141, blank if not
