Why is it, when using the Lookup function with an array, I get a #N/A result when the lookup value to be looked up is exactly the same as one of the values in the Lookup Table?

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
could be vlues vs text issue, are they actually the same, ie both figures or both text!

try vlookup(value(A1),a:b,3) etc

Welcome to the board,
Can you post your formula and what you expect to return.

Colin.

Your data might:

1) be usorted
2) have differing number formats (i.e. numbers might be stored as text in one of the two places)
3) have leading or trailing spaces, as often happens with data imports.

If none of those are the case, try posting a portion of your spreadsheet using Colo's HTML Maker (link at the bottom of the page)
