How do I write a macro to find and delete special characters in my entire spreadsheet? The only characters I can have are alpha, numeric, underscore and dash.

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
Code:
Sub test()
Dim c As Range
Application.ScreenUpdating = False
For Each c In ActiveSheet.UsedRange
    c = RemoveSpecialCharacters(c.Text)
Next
Application.ScreenUpdating = True
End Sub

Function RemoveSpecialCharacters(s As String)
With CreateObject("vbscript.regexp")
    .Pattern = "[^A-Z0-9_\-]"
    .IgnoreCase = True
    .Global = True
    RemoveSpecialCharacters = .Replace(s, "")
End With
End Function
