Using VBA to query large excel files , and extract 4-5 pieces of key data.

I have about 50 excel files each month.

I need to create a summary file that goes into each of these destination files and extracts a few key pieces of data and outputs it to my summary. Each one of the destination files is
named slightly differently each period so the reference to the destination needs to be relative not absolute. Also the place in the source files where the data resides might be a bit different each time.
Is this doable by VBA?
