Hello one and all

I am using Excel 2007

Is it possible to complete a Vlookup against a cell and only check the last for charactors in that cell

In other words Vlookup 4567 to 4567

TRY10234567 10234567

Excel Facts

Control Word Wrap
Press Alt+Enter to move to a new row in a cell. Lets you control where the words wrap.
If it's just the lookup_value where this check needs to be carried out, try:

Code:
=VLOOKUP(RIGHT(A2,4),C$2:D$11,2,0)
Committed with just ENTER.

If it's both the lookup_value and table_array where this check needs to be carried out, try:

Code:
=VLOOKUP(RIGHT(A2,4),RIGHT(C$2:D$11,4),2,0)
Which needs committing with CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER.

Does this help?
