I have a list of experiments that can be performed with an instrument as well list of instruments.

If I select a particular instrument, only relevant experiments to that should be in validation list.

Please guide me.

Similar eg is name of the states in a country on selection of a country name.

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.

If that doesn't help, try to provide a sample.

This can be done. In the data validation after selecting list, you should give a "range name" or cell reference. In this cell reference, I need to give the variable name of Instrument that takes the value of Instrument selected.

Guide which operator should be used for variables, display variables values, print variable values.
