Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with the following:

I have on sheet one, a column for brands (A) and column for feature type (C).

On Sheet 2 I have brands in column A and the feature in Column D.

I want to validate ('TRUE', 'FALSE') whether the feature is the same. I think I need to use some form of IF statement however, as I am looking at two elements, it is something I am not sure how to do.

Example:

Brand Feature
Motorola HSD
on sheet 2:

Brand Feature
Motorola HPD

This should return a FALSE value on Sheet 1 in column O

Any help would be much appreciated!

Cheers

Greg.

Using a mouse in Excel is the work equivalent of wearing a lanyard when you first get to college
The following formula in column O (sheet 2)

=IF(D2=Sheet1!C2,"true", "false")
will compare brand character in cell D2 with C2 of sheet 1 and if same returns true or else false
