hi
how do i lock a sheet but still allow values to be changed or entering new values
because my cells contain formula and some of them triggered by some vba code.

e.g when i try to lock my sheet and enter a value in a userform that will change the values in other cells. then "run-time error '1004'" appear

what i want is to prevent other user to change the format, formula and edit the fixed values.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Hi

In your code you need to unprotect the sheet, apply the formulae / value changes and then re-apply worksheet protection.

Example:

Code:
Sheets("Sheet1").Unprotect "PASSWORD"
    'Some code here
Sheets("Sheet1").Protect "PASSWORD"
