Various text search formula's

Hi All,
Having a mental block and just can't think how to work these needs:

Need to make formula's to

1) If (text in cell) begins with "xxxx" then "ABC"

2) If (text in cell) Contains "xYYx" then "XYC"

3) String text together from cells A, B, C in to cell X
(eg: A = Text, B = is to be, C = one sentence)

1) =IF(LEFT(A1,4)="xxxx","ABC","")
2) =IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("xYYx",A1)),"XYC","")
3) =A1&B1
