I have code that executes on open. After the code runs, it saves and closes the workbook...which it is supposed to do. HOWEVER, when I disable macros, and try to open my workbook to edit my code, the code still runs, even though my excel settings have macros disabled. What.The.Heck?

Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Seems a bit odd and highly unlikely, but have you tried opening the workbook manually, so as not to trigger the macro

To run the workbook without triggering the open macro
Open Excel>>File menu>> "Open" >>locate your file>>Hold down the "Shift" key while you click "Open," and continue holding it until the workbook finishes loading.

This was pulled from SmallBusiness website

To run a workbook without triggering a startup macro, you need to open it from within Excel, rather than double-clicking the file in Windows. Open Excel, go to the File menu, click "Open" and locate your file. Hold down the "Shift" key while you click "Open," and continue holding it until the workbook finishes

Edit:
lol, Micheal beat me to it
