I have never used transactions before but they are in a project I am working on. Is there a way to check and see if a transaction is started? If so, should I check that it is started before trying to commit?

And advice about transaction is greatly appreciated!!!

Excel Facts

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
It's hard to be specific. Using transactions is generally related to working with databases. The main point of them is that they allow you to make sure that either all the database processes work, or none of them do (a classic case is when you transfer money from one account to another: either the first accounted is credited and the second is debited, or neither).

If you can't tell whether you are in a transaction or not then you probably need to review the code a bit more!
