Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.

⁉ Sorry, but I am confused by your question. Your thread title says "VBA Array" but your picture shows a range of cells and your thread title says "text box" and I only see "buttons". Please clarify exactly what you are trying to do for us.

What do you currently have set up? Are the buttons on the worksheet already? If so, what kind of buttons are they... Forms or ActiveX? What are the button names? What would probably be useful is if you posted a copy of your workbook to DropBox and posted the shared link here so we can download it and use what you already have instead of trying to create it from your description.
