VBA- Capturing Data Validation Wrong Entries ?

Let's say that cell A1 has data validation where the user is restricted to enter numbers say from 1 to 10.

If the user enters wrong data in cell A1, we get the usual DV error alert with the Retry-Cancel-Help buttons.

My question is : Is it possible to somehow know (via code) the wrong data (value) that was entered by the user in the DV cell and then store that value somewhere ?

The worksheet change event doesn't seem to register that .

Do you want to store every wrong value? You could store them in the worksheet. But you need to create an error handling with VBA instead of the standard data validation

Yes . I could do that with just vba (worksheet change event) but the input cell has data validation which must stay that way. Unfortunately DV clashes with the worksheet event.
