I'm trying to get the first and last column numbers of a selection. Selection.Address returns "$A$5:$D$5" but I want columns 1 & 4 returned so that I can use those numbers later. Any thoughts?

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.

FirstCol=selection.column
LastCol=selection.column+selection.columns.count-1

Try

FirstCol = Selection.Column
LastCol = Selection.Column + Selection.Columns.Count - 1
