Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Try changing Rows to Cells. Does that fix your issue?
Code:
Sub ColorCells1()
Dim myRange As Range
Set myRange = Range("A1:U1")
For i = 1 To 12
[COLOR=#ff0000][B]Cells[/B][/COLOR](i, 13) = i
Next i
End Sub

I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to accomplish. The first two rows of your code don't do anything.
