Hi Excel Geniuses,

Would any of you be able to assist me with some VBA code please that I can use in Excel to open up a worksheet called "Data" when the file is opened BUT ONLY when the system user name is "Joe Bloggs" or "John Smith".

The "Data" worksheet should remain hidden for any other user.

First person to help wins a pint.

Many thanks

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.

Hi,
Place this in the Thisworkbook Code Page

Rich (BB code):
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
    Dim ValidUser As Variant, UserNames As Variant

    UserNames = Array("Joe Bloggs", "John Smith")

    ValidUser = Application.Match(Environ("USERNAME"), UserNames, False)
    Worksheets("Data").Visible = IIf(Not IsError(ValidUser), xlSheetVisible, xlSheetVeryHidden)
End Sub

Change the network usernames shown in RED as required.

Unfortunately, forum rules forbid acceptance of any reward for providing assistance - but thanks for the thought.

Hope Helpful
