Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
when you created this code did you record via a macro using use relative reference method?

Sub Accrual_Provision()
Sheets("backing").Activate
'What cell is adding "Accrual October"?
'What cell are you using for the formula?
Range("F41").NumberFormat = "#,##0.00"
Range("E41").Font.Bold = True
