I have a number of reference cells representing the working duty names an employee may be rostered to work. (e.g L, B, AD, OH, AL, etc.)
These cells are static and used as a reference for available duty names but are also coloured & formatted (including bold, italics, etc.) to allow them to stand out on an employees roster.
My goal is to copy the formatting of these individual cells and apply them a range (could be as big as 100 rows x 3 columns) as conditional formatting.
I want to create a macro which when run will take the formatting and apply it to the range so that a user can easily update the look and feel.
I had read about storing the cells in the personal workbook or on a temporary worksheet. Has anyone done this before and if so what was the best approach to a solution.
From a technical perspective also, is there an simple way to get ALL the formatting from the original cells and copy them over to the conditional formatting criteria as I know there can be so much formatting available including fill, font, borders, etc.
I know I haven't included code but wanted a best effort direction before I start and will post my attempts after.
