VBA Date Formatting for File Saving

This is what I have so far on this topic.

Dim TDDate = String 'Today's date
TDDate = Date 'get date and put into string

But the information comes formatted as 07/26/2007

How can I convert this in one step (or so ) into 07-26-2007

TDDate = Day(Date) & "-" & Month(Date) & "-" & Year(Date)

Dim TDDate As String (not = String) was just a typo as I was writing the initial post. (my bad...)
