For a project i want to know how many of a value is in a list, but only for the cells that are shown.
In A i have all the values
In B i have all the uniques

Excel Formula:
=UNIQUE(A:A)

In C i have the formula

Excel Formula:
=COUNTIF(A:A;B1)

Now i have to manually drag down this formula for as long B contains values

So if B goes from B1 until B12 i need to fill in c1 to c12
If A gets an extra value, B will extent to b13

Im looking for a way to let a macro see to what cell B is filled and fill the c cells with the formula.

Who can help me search in the right way?

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
Hi & welcome to MrExcel.
No need for a macro, just use
Excel Formula:
=COUNTIF(A:A;B1#)
