I have posted here a few times (althought I had to re-create my profile) and really appreciate the helpful information. I am trying to learn VBA on my own time, but I am running into a problem. When I try to access the VBA help, I get an error stating "Error starting MS help". Do any of you know where I can download the VBA help files?

Excel motto
Not everything I do at work revolves around Excel. Only the fun parts.
It should be part of the Excel install.

Try using your install disks with the "Add component" facility.

If you then look at the install options for Excel you SHOULD find the option to install the Vba help.

Go to the Microsoft site select products then your version of Excel, go to downloads. New and extended help files are out for Excel XP that are not included on the retail disk, these are free updates. You also have the option of selecting help files with automatically selected and displayed examples or the conventional click to display examples. I think new help files are also out for older versions?

It may be hard to find where they put the older files though?

XP and 2000 are easy to find though. JSW
