Whats up fellow excelians,

I am somewhat new to VBA and excel and have a question that may test the mite and knowledge of every member to this site.

My end result goal is to write a macro that will take the contents of a cell in one workbook and uses that input to find a file name matching the forementioned cell input and copy six columns and many rows from the found workbook called upon and pastes that data as values into the workbook that has the user input in it.

Step by step:
INput XYZ into cell input cell located in workbook "Auto"
Find file name XYZ
Open file name XYZ
Copy Data
Paste special values into workbook auto

all of this is supposed to be done by typing the input and running the macro

Please answer this thread if there are any of you upto this challenge, this will save me hours a day!
