Hi,

I'm quite new to excel and I'm trying to filter a table based on a cells value at the click of a button.

See below.

Get help while writing formula
Click the italics "fx" icon to the left of the formula bar to open the Functions Arguments dialog. Help is displayed for each argument.
Assuming your Table is named "Table1"
And you want to filter field 5 which should be column "E"
And you want to filter the Table by the value in Range ("P1")
And your Table Range is ("A:P"
Try this script:

Code:
Sub FilterMini()
Dim Lastrow As Long
    With Range("Table1")
        Dim ans As String
        ans = Range("P1").Value
        .AutoFilter Field:=5, Criteria1:=ans, Operator:=xlFilterValues
    End With
End Sub
