VBA messes up date

I am emailing some cells using this method:
Set OutApp = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")

Now then the cell is formatted to give a date like so:
01/17

But in the formula bar it reads 117 and this is how it is being emailed.

I need it to be maile as 01/17

Please advise.

You could use the Format() function to format the date however you wish:
