I'm using this code to protect the ws.

ActiveSheet.Protect DrawingObjects:=True, Contents:=True, Scenarios:=True, Password:="mysecret"

I'm running Excel 2002 on a network so every time I log in, various options are not the way I want them. How would I change the above code to make sure the "Select locked cells" option is not checked? I only want "Select unlocked cells" checked.

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
Not quite sure what you mean but would this do you?: -

Code:
With ActiveSheet
    .EnableSelection = xlUnlockedCells
    .Protect DrawingObjects:=True, Contents:=True, Scenarios:=True, Password:="mysecret"
End With
