Hi,

I have a task which involves creating new books, doing various things with VBA which work fine.

The issue I have is that I then have a number of workbooks open with "Book" at the the beginning of the name. Of course I can manually close them but I am looking for a quicker solution.

Can someone assist with VBA to close all open Workbooks with "Book" at the start of the name, and without asking if the user wants to save these workbooks.

Thanks for any help.

Mark

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
You could use something like this:

VBA Code:
Sub closeBooks()
   Dim wb As Workbook
   For Each wb In Application.Workbooks
      If UCase$(Left$(wb.Name, 4)) = "BOOK" Then wb.Close False
   Next wb
End Sub
