Hi all,

In need of some code that will just display the "Save As" window where the user can select the pathway and file name, not where the VBA does everything for you.

I've tried just:
Code:
ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs

Any ideas?

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
Try like this

Code:
Sub SaveMe()
Dim fName As Variant
fName = Application.GetSaveAsFilename(initialFilename:="", FileFilter:="Excel Files (*.XLS), *.XLS", Title:="Save As")
If fName = False Then Exit Sub
ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs Filename:=fName
End Sub

Code:
Sub CustomSave()

    Dim sPath As Variant

    sPath = Application.GetSaveAsFilename(FileFilter:="Excel 97-2003,*.xls,Excel 2007/2010 without macro,*.xlsx,Excel 2007/2010 with macro,*.xlsm")
    If sPath = "False" Then Exit Sub
    ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs sPath

End Sub
