VBA: Type 13 Mismatch - Not sure what could be wrong with my variables.

So alot of this code is comented out. So it's pretty clear what is going on.

But I'm having an error thrown in a section of the code I just added. What's confusing about it is that it worked fine in the section of the code I added when it was independent.

I have the section of the code underlined and highlighted that is throwing the error.

Try changing the asterisk to an ampersand, like this:

What are in cells A2 and J2 on the "Import Info" sheet?
If either cells contains an error, that will cause the error that you are seeing.

But it should be coming through as a string, it's going into a message box so it should at least be making it to the message box before there are issues. Am I not correct there?

No, the error does not show up until you try to do something with it.

Try putting a breakpoint on the MsgBox line, then run your code.
Then, when it stops at the breakpoint, hover over the two variables to see what it shows for their values. You should see the error.

If you have the possibility of errors in those cells, you may need to add error handling to your VBA code.
Or, perhaps correct the condition that is resulting in an error (if there are formulas in those cells, you may be able to use the IFERROR function to address that).
