VBA write to range with cell indexing EXCEL 2007

I am using EXCEL 2007. I have an application to write to cells indexed thus: ThisWorkbook.Sheets(myData).Range(myRange).Cells(row, column)
column is passed as an integer variable. When the value of colum is 3, nothing writes. At a value of 4, it writes to column 3. Any value > 3 nothing writes.
Is my EXCEL application corrupted?

A similar application where cells are designated as offset works OK.

As in this codeline the Cells statement is obviously relative to the Range statement so nothin' is corrupted, just a wrong logic …​
