Hi Everybody,

This question might be a little surprising but I hope somebody can give it a try. I have a video file which I would like to get displayed on excel with a click of a button or cell for that matter.

Otherwise, at least I would like to link to this video file using hyperlink, but in that case, a user would need both the excel sheet and the video file separately, is there a way to utilize just the excel file to view the video just like in a PowerPoint presentation where video captures can be viewed without the need to change applications, for example.

Thanks Y'all

Hi Sandy

A way to do it is with the media player. To get the media player activex control:

- View>Toolbars>Controls
- Press the button "More controls" (last button)
- Scroll down until "Windows Media Player"
- insert it in the worksheet

Here is where you can get all the info about the control:

Hope this helps
