I would like to learn Visual Basic (obviously, I am not a programmer; I am an Excel user that wants to hone my Excel skill set) and am looking for a book, CD, online course, whatever to accomplish this. I have looked through the message board and the Knowledge Base, and don't see anything referenced except a CD. I was unclear whether the CD was a "basic" course, or intended for programmers.

Any recommendations? Thanks...!

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
Do you want Visual Basic or Visual Basic for Applications (Excel VBA).
They're slightly different. Visual Basic is more generic, more powerful. VBA is specific to an application, like Excel. Not that you can't use VB in VBA.. VBA is sort of a child of VB.

The book by Bill Jelen and Tracy Syrstad, VBA and Macros for Excel (offered on this site) is an excellent resource for VBA.

Thanks for the reference. I'm looking for VBA for Excel. I'm now headed for the book recommended by "Shades", per your suggestion!
