When I click on Help in the toolbar while in VBE, the Help screen opens and the "Contents" tab works fine, but both the "Answer Wizard" and the "Index" tabs display a double-headed arrow instead of the cursor pointer when selected, and I can't type anything into the selection windows. I tried running the Office repair to no avail. Any suggestions

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
This happens to me quite regularly, particularly after a crash. The only solution I have found is to reboot my computer.

did it ever work? A default install does not include the VB help. You have to do a custom install

Yup, it used to work. And as I said, Help opens and the "Contents" tab works fine. It's the other two tabs that don't work.

You were ABSOLUTELY right. VBA Help wasn't installed. I remembered it working, but on my previous laptop. It wasn't installed on my new laptop. I'm good to go now. Thanks for the help !
