Vlook up duplicate data

hI - I have a query.. While i am doing the Vlook up - will there be an option to check duplicate data as some time 1 data may appear twice with two different activies?
say for example am checking the serial number of parts with activity
out goiing and incoming
will the Vlook up show the duplicate data too or is there any other alternative?

if there are duplicate value in the data VLOOPUP will fail, You have use the CSE(control, Shift, Enter) formula
