Hi,

Is there any way of formatting cells in a particular array according to parameters stated in a VLOOKUP or INDEX function you have used somewhere else in the spreadsheet?

eg, this is my formulae;

INDEX('2005-2006'!$C$5:'2005-2006'!$Y$34,$A7,E7):INDEX('2005-2006'!$C$5:'2005-2006'!$Y$34,$A7,E7+11)

where '2005-2006' is another worksheet?

Any help would be great!

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Hi there,

Can you explain in simple english what is the result in the above formula and how do you want conditional formatting to kick in?

If you can explain the above, then you have (almost) answered your own question
