vlookup and count forumla help

Hi,

I have 2 spreadhsheets.

1st Spreadsheet has the value

2nd spreadsheet has the value but more then once.

I want a formula, that will lookup the value in from spreadsheet 1 in spreadsheet 2 and count how many times it appears in spreadsheet 2. Answer to be placed in Spreadsheet 1.

Hope that makes sense and someone can help please.
