Hello:

I'm using vlookup to bring back UK dates from worksheet A, but Excel shows US dates on worksheet B. I've tried to format cell in worksheet B to English (UK) locale but Excel still shows a US date. Could someone guide me on this issue?

Excel Facts

Back into an answer in Excel
Use Data, What-If Analysis, Goal Seek to find the correct input cell value to reach a desired result
If the aforementioned method doesn't work try the following formula (assuming your American Dates start in column A, row 1)

=Day(A1)& "/" &MONTH(A1)& "/" &YEAR(A1)

Do you mean you have highlighted the cells then hit CTRL + 1 then select date under category then "English (United Kingdom)" under Locale (location)? It is working for me

Excel 2009 is not allowing me to change the date format to UK. Could these be a default setting that I have change?

Desu Nota from Columbus - how do I add your formula to my existing vlookup formula.
VLOOKUP(I20,'Apr11 statem'!G:H,2,0))

Thank you.
