Vlookup - copy data from another worksheet if value matches

Hi

I would like to copy data from Sheet1 column B to column B in Sheet2 if the value in column A matches.

Names on sheet2 are in a different order and some are listed multiple times. Examples below:

Sheet1ABCD
1Name1Description1
2Name2Description2
3Name3Description3
4Name4Description4

Sheet2ABCD
1Name3Description3
2Name1Description1
3Name3Description3
4Name4Description4

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
How about
=index(sheet1!B$1:B$100,match(A1,Sheet1!A$1:A$100,0))
