HI,

I cannot think of how to do this......

I have a spreadsheet with sales by advisor. Each advisor has a different commission structure. I have a table that lists all commission by product and advisor. When an advisor sells a product, I want to have a formula to bring their commission into the sales spreadsheet. I have 10+ advisors and these can change on a regular basis, so setting up a nested IF statement wouldn't be appropriate. I am looking for a generic formula that will look up the advisors name and the product that they sold, and returns the value. Is this possible without IF?

(Excel 2007)

Thanks

Sarah

you need to use an offset function - with two seperate match commands. The first match will be by column for the product. The second match by row for the advisor.
